Not Angry, Not Ashamed, Not Afraid

I don't know if you can tell, but I'm neither ashamed, angry, or afraid of what people think of me because once I rode with an outlaw biker club. It was just something I did.

It didn't make me a bad person. It made me a lot more aware of body language, people's moods, hidden meanings and agendas, stuff like that. All things I was lacking before, and it would turn out that I would need later in life. It also made me crazy, but I recovered from that.

Truth is, most of the people I met inside the club(s) were crazy, to some degree, but then again, so are musicians. So I've spent most of my life living with people just a little off center. Creative thinkers. Radicals or mavericks of some sort or other.

Don't believe what you see on TV or in movies. Most outlaw bikers are not killers or gun runners. The biggest crime most of them ever commit is smoking weed or being involved in a fist fight. Not that people don't get shot or killed, mind you, but have you seen crime stats lately? Bikers make up a tiny percentage of those stats. The rest of the world is a bunch of crazy motherfuckers, too.

And I hate to say it, but I don't know one person who hasn't broken some law or other. Maybe I sound cynical, but think about it. Who among us is without sin?

Thank You Jesus...

Jesus got his nickname because when he was younger, with his long golden brown hair, mustache, and golden brown eyes, someone remarked that he looked like Jesus Christ. His friends took to calling him J.C., short for Jesus Christ. When he prospected for Satan's Brotherhood there was already a member with his nickname, so Angelo, the President of the chapter, took to calling him Jesus and the name stuck.

Jesus has a higher than average I.Q. He's a quick thinker and a habitual observer of people. Most of the others members of Satan's Brotherhood respect his opinion because they know that he's going to think through the issue before he opens his mouth. Fortunately for the inquisitive, Jesus has a sharp, quick mind.

Jesus is an interesting study in duality. Apart from being an outlaw biker, he's made a name for himself as a commercial artist and Ad executive. He's done work for some of the top people on Wall Street, and they pay him well. He has a secret stash of money from a settlement that he doesn't ever need to tap, but he lives well below his means and adds to that secret stash on a regular basis. Not even his girlfriend knows about the money. Only Jersey Mike knows.

Though he has an outwardly stable relationship with MaryRose, he's not beyond getting into it with some of the women who service the club on the side. he's got a great personality, and women of all ages adore him.

Despite the fact that he hates violence, he's not afraid of kicking ass if the situation calls for it, but in his heart he believes in diplomacy first, violence last. He's tall and strong and masculine, but he can also be gentle and tender with women. People are naturally drawn to Jesus. He's the kind of guy who means it when he hugs you. When he smiles at you, it makes you feel good. His guys all look out for him because they love him.

Jesus is opinionated and he doesn't like keeping his opinion to himself. He usually waits for the right moment before speaking his mind, but when he does, everyone listens. When he finds himself having to quash his feelings, it doesn't sit well, because more than anything else, he believes in truth and honesty. He has a strong sense of justice. He is a righteous dude, always standing up for what he believes in.

I didn't model Jesus after anyone I knew. He just appeared inside my head and said, "Write my story."
